Since founding the firm with his partner, Maureen J. Maureen J. Shanahan

Ms. Shanahan is also a founding partner of Totaro & Shanahan, LLP, and a California bankruptcy attorney representing individuals and businesses in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases. She earned her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco—now the University of California, San Francisco—where she was honored with membership in the Order of the Coif. She went on to receive a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from George Washington University's National Law Center in Washington, D.C., specializing in Law, Psychiatry, and Criminology, graduating summa cum laude.
